Fit and sizing

Body chain lives or dies on fit. A waist chain that rides up gets taken off in the bathroom and never worn again. Two minutes with a tape measure fixes that.

The one rule

Measure where the piece will actually sit on you, not your dress size and not your jeans size. A waist chain worn high at the natural waist and the same chain worn low on the hip are two different measurements on the same body, sometimes four inches apart.

If you land between two sizes, take the larger one. Every piece we make adjusts down through its extender chain. None of them adjust up.

Waist and belly chains

Stand up straight and breathe out normally. Run the tape around wherever you want the chain to sit, snug but not pulling. That number is your size. XS to S covers 24 to 29 inches, M to L covers 29 to 35, XL to 2X covers 35 to 44.

For a chain you want to sit low and loose on the hip, add an inch to whatever you measured.

Chest and harness pieces

Take two measurements. Around the ribcage directly under the bust, and around the fullest part of the bust. Use the underbust number to pick the size and the bust number to check the straps have room. Everything in this group adjusts at the band and at both straps.

Thigh chains

Measure around the widest part of the thigh, sitting down rather than standing. Thighs spread when you sit and a chain sized standing will cut in the moment you take a seat. The silicone grip band handles the rest.

Anklets and hand chains

Anklets run on a two inch extender so most people are fine on the standard length. For the hand chain, measure your wrist and pick the ring size you would normally wear on your index finger, since the band is adjustable through two sizes either way.

When none of it fits

Veneno is available made to measure at $274. Send us the numbers and we will build it to them, which takes about three weeks. If you want any other piece built to measure, ask us on the contact page and we will tell you honestly whether it is possible.
